Think We’re Indestructible/Invincible -- We’re Not

Think We’re Indestructible/Invincible

We’re Not

In my 20’s I took risks, including with my driving.  I had this mindset and attitude of “invincibility”, that whatever I did I would get through it all unscathed.

The thinking that I would not be hurt by anything was stifling, but I tried it anyway.  Such things got me in trouble or hurt, but what I learned taught me some incredible lessons.

I was no longer fearless in my attempts to try reckless tasks, and be daring.  The thinking that I was indestructible or invincible was so wrong, but it took many incidents to get my attention.

Being careless in what I did, making bad choices led to instances with lasting effects.  One time I was the third vehicle in a seven vehicle accident that totaled my truck.  What was lucky was there were no fatalities from it, but many changes occurred as a result.

The way I thought about my choices affected my short term and long term decisions.  More responsibility was a definite outcome for selections I faced.  I was no longer infallible in my alternatives.
