Nunc Coepi!

 Nunc Coepi!

In a talk the speaker shared, "Philip Rivers (Chargers' quarterback) did a graduation talk and used his favorite Latin saying "nunc coepi (now I begin).  There are many things for us to do. Decide to start -- Now I Begin.

Every endeavor in our life has a “Beginning” point.  Whether it is a blessing for us and also for others it has to have a place of starting.  We’re recycling ideas and stories among other things of someone else to benefit us and another.

The thing taken can be shared as is or adapted to fit our audience’s needs.  What is revealed through us may capture interests far and wide, and heights and depths that may enhance people’s lives.

We are available to the presence of another to lift them toward great things.  The Latin phrase meaning “Now I Begin” sparks us to directions in ways that lead to so much.

Transitions beyond us gives perspectives to a bigger self and we’re connected to a community that can reveal incredible sensations.  You can’t go back and have a new beginning, but you can start from here and have a brand new ending.  Begin now!

Palanca for Cursillo #304 and #305

Palanca for Cursillo #304 and #305

 Ask And You Shall Receive

Cursillo #304 (April 2023)

The query of our seeking presents us with gifts.

When we’re open we can get abundant blessings.

Ways we connect with community strengthens our family.

Receiving extends the reach available to us.

When we ask, God blesses us!

As we are blessed, we are also challenged to share.

When gifted, giving to others is then asked of us.

The potential to extend God’s kingdom is our mission.

Love one another is what we’re called to do.

We asked, we received; next we share!

Joy Is Knowing Him

Cursillo #305 (April 2023)

Knowing God is quite a joyful experience.

We can be uplifted through it all.

Also connecting with a community builds strength.

Togetherness fills us with immense feelings of love.

Joy builds amazing things in us.

Being filled we now are called to share goodness.

With a missionary-mindset we are sent out,

The joy we have within us is now to be given to all.

God brings to our path the potential ones to receive.

The “Joy” of knowing God is ready to be shared.

Palanca

This term was introduced to me as a Spanish word meaning “lever” to lift another toward God with prayer and sacrifice.  Then a note of support and encouragement can be added to communicate the feelings to one or more people.

Finding Joy; Discovering Purpose!

Finding Joy; Discovering Purpose!

Joy is to be found all around us, we just have to look for sources that are available to us.  But revealing the joy might start a process that helps us grow to become the best version of ourselves.

The joy found must also connect to a purpose to be useful for us and others.  We must do what is necessary to achieve the goodness that is possible in whatever environments our situations bring us into.

An objective in our task can be meaningful, bringing significance to much in the existence of which we are part.  Intention may play an incredible part in being so uplifting.

Goals could draw us toward many blessings, while inspiring something so beautiful in our future.  When realizing the potential we have it is the way to be enhancing the person we are to new levels.

Encountering others is part of establishing our foundation, and building in us a means of growth.  We expand to heights and depths beyond our imaginings when we are open to such great probabilities.  Be Joyful, Be Purposeful.

Our S.G. (Support Group) Is So Needed!

Our S.G. (Support Group) Is So Needed!

Our S.G. (Support Group) can be incredibly helpful when we feel the world is attacking us.  That camaraderie may be just the needed thing to get past what is inflicting us.

Being “put-upon” can be hurting and the support could be the building us up that is the healing we -- physically/emotionally/spiritually – crave.  Words from someone might be the direction we get pointed in that leads us toward renewal,

At a group a friend talked about a person who was losing her job, and came to him for encouragement.  He didn’t know if she was a woman of faith, so he was unsure about what to tell her.  I suggested he tell her to look for a support group she could rely on, as we all do.  Later he may bring up that his faith is part of his support system.

Over the years some youth (as well as us all) have felt like they are alone in what they face.  Until they hear the stories of others that reveal similar problems faced by those and suddenly a new connection is made.

The motivation to move forward may be just what it takes to spur us toward progress.  The “get-up-and-go” for us could also be the spark that helps others.  We can be the S.G. that someone else may desperately need.

Be Impactful; Now & Often

Be Impactful; Now & Often

We have many chances to influence others, if only we take such opportunities.  We can change people and environments in ways that are offered to us.

There is so much available to us in the present, and also frequently.  People are brought to our path that we may use our talents and efforts to accomplish tasks to enhance their growth.

Being in the life of another can be so rich that we can be a blessing to them, but can also be a blessing to us.  Ways we’re there for each other is so supportive in building both up.

The Support Group we reach out to and rely on is strengthening our very being and gives us the needed foundation to help us and help others.  Inspiring someone may take simple steps with small advances, but they could be significant.

Someone once said, “You may not be able to do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good you can do.”  The best version of ourselves can be is achievable and impactful to others.
