Our S.G. (Support Group) Is So Needed!
Our S.G. (Support Group) can be
incredibly helpful when we feel the world is attacking us. That camaraderie may be just the needed thing
to get past what is inflicting us.
Being “put-upon”
can be hurting and the support could be the building us up that is the healing
we -- physically/emotionally/spiritually – crave. Words from someone might be the direction we
get pointed in that leads us toward renewal,
At a group a
friend talked about a person who was losing her job, and came to him for
encouragement. He didn’t know if she was
a woman of faith, so he was unsure about what to tell her. I suggested he tell her to look for a support
group she could rely on, as we all do.
Later he may bring up that his faith is part of his support system.
Over the years
some youth (as well as us all) have felt like they are alone in what they
face. Until they hear the stories of
others that reveal similar problems faced by those and suddenly a new
connection is made.
