The Ultimate
Measure
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in
comfort and convenience, but where he stands in challenge and controversy,” by
Martin Luther King Jr. The true standard
we’re held to is who and how we help others.
We can get ideas and suggestions by paying attention to the
input we get from the people that contact with us. Anyone can raise to great heights to inspire our
actions.
A guy who writes reflections has used “We can spill
light. We don’t need light spilling
classes or workshops.” When I saw this
recently, what occurred to me was “we are not challenged to spill darkness.”
Any opportunities we face as issues or problems need to be uplifting to have a positive effect on our environments. Over the years I’ve learned that we connect better with others through our brokenness than through our wholeness. Don’t look down, measure up!
