Being Wreck-tified

Being Wreck-tified

We are all broken in various ways at times in our lives.  But in our brokenness we connect with others much more than through our whole traits.

Henri Nouwen observed – “Nobody escapes being wounded.  We all are wounded people, whether physically, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. The main question is not 'How can we hide our wounds?' so we don't have to be embarrassed, but 'How can we put our woundedness in the service of others."

Our lives may be wrecked by certain experiences or people, but we can build from there anew.  And the person we become can have things improved that were unexpected before.

The best version of ourselves may be ahead of us, if we just keep trying.  If we fall, we can pick ourselves up and go on with our lives.  The renewed us may be a different person than we’ve known.

The ‘tified being may make the “wreck-“ into rec-tified, with changes as new traits that lead us toward directions and ultimately great endings.  We make incredible headways in our thoughts, words, actions that are good toward behavior, habits, character and destiny.
