I Don’t Wait Well

         There are times I feel overwhelmed, or I don’t practice patience successfully.  The “I want it now” is a frequent phrase that crosses my mind.

         And if it doesn’t happen in my time frame, then it’s value for me is diminished.  I don’t pray for patience, else I’m given opportunities to go develop my patience, lots of them.  I do pray for strength to endure.

         I was reading “Harpo Speaks”, by Harpo Marx and a co-writer,  They included the phrase, “I have never taken the direct route from anywhere to anywhere.”  We meander through life with many detours, but there are so many things to discover along the way.

         A friend’s Dad used to tell him, “If you don’t know where you’re going any road will get you there.  A plan to accomplish goals makes it easier to achieve outcomes.

         Having a script may be a starting point, and though some ad-libbing may occur, at least you have guidelines as a basis.  The “waiting” may be challenging, but at least progress is on our horizon.  Take steps forward.
