Sabbath and Sabbatical -- It’s The One Thing

Sabbath and Sabbatical

It’s The One Thing

In Matthew Kelly’s “Slowing Down To The Speed Of Joy” he writes about the close connection between Sabbath and Sabbatical, and how we need the period or rest to refresh ourselves.  When we treat the one day of the Sabbath properly, then the other six days are more productive.

Getting a newer perspective can change many things for us, and its resulting in more productive outcomes.  Restful breaks are refreshing as to how we’re adjusted in making circumstances pliable.

Taking a fresher examination might be the needed way that sources energy that helps us gain the viewpoint to find a direction we’ve sought.  A search we’re on may get inspiration from varied inputs if only we are willing to receive the blessings offered.

Another term the author used is “careless timelessness” and how it is easier for any who practice that to fall in love.  The “fall in love” could relate to relationships or even something we could love doing.

Putting ourselves in periods of silence would be opportunities to get messages that assist us in moving forward.  Other wording in scheduling is “immovable obstacles”, but that they are only temporarily fixed.  Get rested!
